Have you been wondering how to recycle your banana peel? Or have you been looking for a natural shoe polish to make your shoes as shiny as a new pair?

BANANA PEEL is one of the easiest and natural ways to polish your leather shoes. It works like magic because it leaves your shoes to shine like a new pair.

Step 1. Wipe off any dirt and crud from your shoes. If your shoes have any stitching, edges or patterns cut into the leather, then you have to thoroughly wipe the shoes clean (to avoid ending up with little brown bits of rotten banana all over your shoe).
Step 2. Peel a banana skin and eat the fruit.
Step 3. Rub your shoes over with the inside of the peel in a circular motion until the leather looks shiny.
Step 4. Use a clean piece of a soft cloth and wipe off any residue on the shoes.

This might sound like a myth but the truth is that banana contains potassium, which is an active ingredient in commercial shoe polish. The potassium preserves the Leather thereby increasing its lifespan.

However, do not use overripe bananas for this, as their skins tend to shed in the process. Unripe bananas on the other hand won’t give you the best results.

The next time you come home with a bunch of banana and dirty shoes, enjoy the banana bread and use the banana peel to polish your dirty shoe. That way you have achieved two purposes with one fruit.
